Research Interests:

Aquatic life has been a huge fixation of mine for as long as I can remember. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to work in a wide array of fish research including fish feeding kinematics, predation landscapes, fish sampling data, and Putah Creek salmon monitoring. Much of my experience is with fish, but I am interested in aquatic ecology as a whole, particularly how native Californian fish interact with their environments in the face of an altered ecosystem. In the Fish Conservation Physiology Lab, my work largely centers on monitoring Chinook salmon in Putah Creek through capture of returning fish, carcass surveys, rotary screw trapping of juveniles, and acoustic tagging of out-migrating juveniles.
