Research Interests:

I am interested in the stability of marine ecosystems and ecosystem dynamics. I am curious how full systems fit together and function as a stable ecosystem with so many moving parts. Specifically, these questions surround how community interactions are going to change with a changing climate, what areas of the ecosystem are important to maintain stability, and how to develop methods to help manage and conserve vital ecosystems.
During my time here in the Fangue Fish Conservation Physiology Lab I have gotten the opportunity to experience various research projects. The primary project I worked on, however, assessed larval sturgeon movement and physiology when affected by contaminant exposure. With the skills I have learned here I am excited to pursue a career researching the systems I care so much about.
