Research Interests:

I am primarily interested in the ecology and conservation of California’s native salmonid species, with a strong focus on how habitat alteration and connectivity influence their populations. During my studies at CSU Chico and Colorado State University, I gained extensive hands-on experience in freshwater fish ecology, including field sampling, lab research, and data collection. I contributed to projects on fish movement and passage, invasive species ecology, and fisheries management, with a particular interest in understanding how barriers, flow modifications, and other human impacts influence fish behavior, migration, and population dynamics. In my free time, I enjoy fly fishing and value its role in connecting recreational anglers with conservation of coldwater fisheries.
